An initiation that goes
beyond the basics
An immersion that goes
beyond technique
A weekend to slow down and let your music emerge.
During this immersion, you will discover the basics of the handpan, all the fundamentals, and several simple tools and techniques to start expressing yourself musically. But the experience won’t stop at technique: you will learn to listen, create space, and enter into a more natural relationship with the handpan.
By the end of the weekend, you will know how to play your first patterns and melodies, and improvise within their structures.
“Music and expression often begin
the moment we stop trying to do it right.”
A weekend to deepen your playing and let your own music emerge.
During this immersion, you will enrich your playing through new patterns, coordination techniques, rhythmic variations, and different composition tools. But the experience won’t stop at technique: you will also learn to listen better, use silence, play with more intention, and develop a freer and more personal relationship with your handpan.
“Your playing takes on another dimension when you no longer just reproduce patterns, but start to feel and tell a story.”

Everything you need to know
You can come
empty-handed
Come with your handpan
and the desire to go further
A handpan is made available to each participant for the duration of the workshop. You therefore do not need to own or buy an instrument to fully experience this immersion.
However, during each workshop, we also present a selection of new handpans available for sale. We collaborate with several manufacturers recognized among the best in the world, allowing you to discover and compare different instruments if you are considering a future purchase, without any obligation.
Before the workshop, we will share the list of available handpans in the WhatsApp group created specifically for the event.
For this intermediate workshop, we recommend coming with your own handpan to deepen your relationship with your instrument and be able to easily practice the lessons at home.
However, our workshops are conducted on D Kurd, which we provide if you have a different scale for group playing times.
During individual practice and integration times, you will be invited (if you wish) to use your own handpan to adapt the lessons to it. We also offer a selection of new handpans (from different scales of 12 to 21 notes) for sale during each workshop. We work with several manufacturers recognized among the best in the world. The list of available instruments will be shared before the workshop in the dedicated WhatsApp group, without any obligation to purchase.

FAQ
participating, and to help you make your choice
Do I need to already know how to play music?
No. The initiation workshop is accessible without musical experience and without knowledge of music theory. The exercises start with touch, listening, and very simple rhythms.
I have never touched an instrument: is it really for me?
Yes. Many participants start exactly at this point. I guide you from the first steps, without assuming you already know rhythm or music.
What if I'm not “gifted”?
There is nothing to succeed at in front of others. The workshop is a space for learning and exploration, where everyone moves with their body, their listening, and their own tempo.
What does a workshop day look like?
It alternates demonstrations, guided exercises, free practice, duo or group playing, exchanges, and break times. The pace adapts to the group’s energy.
Do I need to own a handpan?
No. A handpan is made available to each participant for the duration of the workshop. But you can also bring your own handpan if you have one.
Should I buy a handpan before coming?
No, and it is even often useful to try the instrument before a purchase. The necessary handpans are loaned during the workshop. And we sell quality handpans from different manufacturers and note counts during our workshops.
Is the workshop only for beginners?
The page brings together different levels of immersion. Always check the level indicated for the chosen date: beginner, intermediate, or mixed group. Don’t hesitate to contact me if you need more details.
How do I know if I should choose beginner or intermediate?
The beginner level is suitable if you are discovering the instrument or still master few structures. If in doubt, use the contact form before booking to ask me all your questions.
Is there a minimum age?
We recommend a minimum age of 13 or 14, as the pace of the workshop can be intense for a younger child. In the case of a minor’s registration, we require that they be accompanied by an adult.
How many people participate?
Groups are voluntarily limited to preserve the quality of guidance. The exact number may vary by location and is listed on the event page. Groups consist of 14 to 20 participants.
Can we come as a pair or more?
Yes, subject to available spots. Coming with loved ones can be a very beautiful experience, which we often see during our workshops, while remaining open to the group dynamic.
Are accommodation and meals included?
It depends on the format. Some dates take place over two days without accommodation, others in full board or with lodging options. The details of what is included are indicated before booking. The price of the workshops is separate from the price of accommodation and meals.
What should I bring?
Bring comfortable clothing, a water bottle, and possibly a notebook. The necessary handpans and stools are provided; you can also bring your own equipment.
Can I come with my own handpan?
Yes, but if your handpan is in a different scale and/or frequency, you will only be able to use it at specific times. For collective practice moments, we will use 10-12 note D Kurds that we provide if you own a different scale.
What happens after registration?
You receive a confirmation by email, then about 1 to 2 months before the workshop, I will create a dedicated WhatsApp group to communicate all the necessary information to prepare as best as possible, organize carpools, as well as the procedure for booking your accommodation and meals according to the booked workshop.
Can I cancel or move my reservation?
We invite you to carefully consult the general terms and conditions of sale as well as the cancellation policy before finalizing your payment. By confirming your reservation, you acknowledge having read these conditions and accept them fully.
How do I ask a question before booking?
Use the contact form, specifying the planned date, your level, and the question concerned.
