After explaining what the aura is, here are my practical exercises to learn to see and feel the aura, both your own and others’.
The essentials
- We start by seeing the etheric body, the first layer of the aura, around your hand.
- With practice, your vision refines, and colors appear.
- To feel the aura, bring your hands close to the body until you feel a resistance.
- The entire aura extends about 40 cm around the body, sometimes more.
Exercise 1: Seeing the etheric body around your hand
Start with the first layer of the aura, the energy of the etheric body: the closest to the physical body, the densest, and the most palpable.
- Place your hand in front of a plain background, white or black, whichever suits you.
- Don’t focus on your hand: look slightly to the side.
- Observe with the intention of seeing the aura. A layer of a few millimeters, white to dark gray, appears around your hand and becomes increasingly clear.
- Gently move your hand a few centimeters, like a slight “peek-a-boo”: this vapor follows the hand and leaves a trail that almost immediately disappears.
If you don’t see anything, that’s okay: try again later in the day or tomorrow. If you do see this layer, congratulations, that’s your etheric energy. The more you practice, the more your auric vision refines and reveals colors. To interpret them, read the meaning of aura colors.
Exercise 2: Seeing another person’s aura
Have a person stand 1 meter from a light-colored wall, preferably white, and repeat the same exercise. Look just beside them, behind their silhouette: the etheric body appears first, then, with practice, the colors.
Exercise 3: Feeling the aura with your hands
- Lie on your back.
- Place your hands, palms facing you, a few centimeters above your belly.
- Set the intention to feel the energy of your etheric body and empty your mind.
- Make small up-and-down movements until you feel a resistance as your hands approach your body.
To activate this sensitivity, you can use my techniques for activating the hand chakras.
What is the purpose of feeling the aura?
During my in-person healing sessions, I feel this resistance even better on others than on myself. It allows me to scan the aura to detect changes in temperature, particular sensations, or sometimes holes and bumps in an aura that should be uniform and oval. I then guide my treatment by giving more or less energy to the affected areas.
With practice, you can feel the entire aura, with its seven layers. It extends about 40 cm around the physical body, sometimes more depending on the person’s vital energy. Upon contact with someone’s aura, you can even feel how they are feeling: perhaps this has already happened to you without you understanding why.
Frequently asked questions
Why can’t I see my aura?
That’s normal at first. Don’t focus on your hand, look slightly to the side, and try again later: with regularity, you’ll get there.
How big is the aura?
